Texas Open Forum for Rural Carriers Chat

The Texas Open Forum Chat Group will meet each Sunday night at 7 pm. We hope to see each of you there.

If you are interested in participating, do the following:

Go to www.paltalk.com Go through the registration process there and download and install the program. This is a voice chat program for those who have microphones, but can also receive text messages. You must also have speakers on your PC in order to hear the voice chats. We feel that it is an adequate forum for discussion by all carriers with online access. If the participation level increases, as we hope that it will, measures may be taken to better organize the discussions using options available to moderate the forum.

Once you have the program installed and running, follow the instructions below to access the chat room.

The name of the group is Texas Open Forum. It is listed in category Meeting New Friends. Once you open PalTalk click on the Groups button. When that window opens, make sure that the box next to Show Adult Groups has a check in it (to do this just click once in the box, you will get a warning, just click OK). Then look for Meet New Friends and double click on it (HINT: Once you have the Meet New Friends list, click on the "Meet New Friends - Group List" toolbar and that will alphabetize it ). Next, look for Texas Open Forum and double click on it and that should put you in the room. Once in the room you can click on Favorites on the toolbar and then click Add to Favorites and this will save it as a clickable link under Favorites. Next time you sign on to PalTalk, select Groups and then click the Favorites on the tool bar and then the room name.
