FINAL REPORT OF THE CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE

TEXAS RURAL CARRIERS ASSOCIATION
HOLIDAY INN - BEAUMONT, TX
JUNE 23-27, 2001

192 members representing 45 locals were certified to the 97th state convention.

16 locals had no credentials and no delegates.

4 locals sent in credentials but had no delegates.

The total delegate strength is 598.

The Voting Strength on all issues is 502 votes

The Delegate Votes needed for a Majority Vote on all issues is 252.

Total Delegate Votes needed for a two-thirds (2/3) majority on all issues is 334.

Total Delegate Votes for Election of Officers is 502.

Total Delegate Votes needed for a Majority Vote for the Election of Officers is 252.

***webmaster's commentary- In my opinion, it is sad that there were a total of 730 dues paying members that had absolutely no representation at this convention. Whether these 20 locals failed to meet to elect delegates or no one was willing to attend, they failed to voice their concerns and take the opportunity to participate in the business of our association. 192 people made the decisions for 5293 members.
